Country Radio Journalist Denis Ndyamuhakyi Weds Prudence Ampeire

Rukungiri: Country Radio journalist Denis Ndyamuhakyi has wedded Prudence Ampeire in a ceremony held in their village in Kitanoga Cell, Kayanga Parish, Nyarushanje Sub-County.

The wedding ceremony held on September 23, started with the exchange of vows at St. Andrew’s Catholic Parish Nyarushanje, where Rev. Fr. Elias Kansigire officiated the marriage.

While preaching to the couple, Rev. Fr. Elias Kansigire urged them to remain committed to each other and protect their love. Fr. Kansigire said nothing is greater than dedicating one’s life to another person and thanked Denis for choosing to dedicate his life to Prudence.

Fr. Kansigire warned the couple against allowing their love to fade, saying this could lead to adultery. He encouraged them to remain faithful, patient and committed to each other throughout their marriage.

He also urged them to control their tongues and avoid using hurtful words against each other, including insults and abusive language.

The catechist of Mukashenyi Catholic Hiika, Vereliano Birimbasa, while preaching at the wedding reception, asked the couple to keep the vows they made to each other, respect one another and welcome people into their family.

He also encouraged them to share what they have with God and make prayer a regular part of their family life.

The head of the clan and grandfather of Denis Ndyamuhakyi, Dr Kiiza Lenald, asked the newlyweds to always seek guidance from him and other elders.

He described marriage as a school where couples learn new things every day and urged Denis and Prudence to remain willing to learn from each other.

Denis’ mother, Vastine Orishaba, and his grandmother, Giradina Bamusibana, who raised him, welcomed Prudence into the family and prayed for God’s blessings upon the newlyweds.

Naris Tugumisirize, Prudence’s brother, asked her to love and respect her husband, whom she chose from among many people.

The best man, Paul Mateeka, who is the headteacher of Model Primary School Nyarushanje, urged the couple to speak with one voice and work together in building their family.

In her speech, the bride, Prudence Ampeire, promised to keep her vows and love her husband forever.

The groom, Denis Ndyamuhakyi, thanked the church, his parents and the community for supporting him throughout the wedding preparations.
