Avance International University to Hold Fifth Graduation Ceremony

WAKISO: Avance International University in Nabweru, Wakiso District, is set to hold its fifth graduation ceremony on September 25, 2026.

The university’s Substantive Vice Chancellor, Dr. Kato Kimata Joshua, announced the development during an interview with our reporter at the university headquarters on September 20.

Dr. Kimata said the guest of honour at the graduation ceremony will be His Royal Highness Isabaruuli Isabarongo Mwogezi Butamanya, the King of the Baruuli tribe.

The university Chancellor, the Emeritus Bishop of Mukono Diocese, Rt. Rev. James William Ssebaggala, will preside over the ceremony and confer degrees and award diplomas and certificates to the graduates.

Dr. Kimata invited members of the public to join the university physically or follow the ceremony through various media platforms that will broadcast the event live, including Bukedde TV, Tiger FM, Country Radio, and the university’s social media platforms.

According to Dr. Kimata, a total of 220 graduates will graduate in different disciplines.

He explained that the graduates are among the students who were already enrolled at the university when the current management took over the institution in 2024.

Dr. Kimata added that the university has continued to grow, revealing that more than 3,500 students were admitted in August alone.
