William Ngabirano Cleared to Contest for Bugangari LC5 Seat in 2026

Rukungiri: The NRM flag bearer for Bugangari Sub-County, Counsel William Ngabirano, has been officially nominated to contest in the 2026 general elections.

The nomination exercise took place on September 5, at the Rukungiri District Headquarters, where the Electoral Commission (EC) is conducting its registration process.

Speaking to our reporter shortly after his nomination, Ngabirano promised to work for the people of Bugangari by representing their ideas in the district council once elected. He called on voters to support him, saying he is the best candidate to represent them since he understands the challenges hindering development in the sub-county.

According to the Rukungiri District Returning Officer Abasi Namara, the nomination exercise for the 2026 general elections started on Wednesday. The nomination exercise for district chairpersons and councilors concluded yesterday. Nominations for municipal councilors will take place on 8th September, while sub-county level candidates will be nominated between 11th and 23rd September.
