
UPDF Kills 2 Terrorists in Munyonyo
Kampala: The Uganda People’s Defence Force (UPDF) counter-terrorism unit this morning on June 3, intercepted and neutralized two armed terrorists in Munyonyo, an upscale suburb of Kampala.
According to the Acting Director of Defence Public Information Colonel Chris Magezi, the operation was intelligence-led and successfully eliminated the threat before any harm could occur.
He disclosed that one of the suspects, a female, was a suicide bomber carrying powerful explosives.
Colonel Magezi emphasized that security agencies remain on high alert to ensure the Martyrs Day celebrations proceed without incident.
He urged the public to stay calm but vigilant, and to promptly report any suspicious individuals, objects, or activities to the security services for immediate action.
