Torrential rain leaves 70 year old woman homeless

Rukungiri: A 70 year old woman from Kafujo cell Kanyinya ward, Southern Division of Rukungiri municipality is struggling to get support to build a new house following the collapse of her house due to heavy rains.

Lovence Tushereirwe a wife to the  late David Tibenderana told our reporter yesterday that on Friday around 4pm, while her and her grandchildren were outside, they saw the house collapsing to the ground.

Tusherirwe said she has been staying in the house for 20 years with her 9 children but all the children don’t have jobs to bring income to the family, and she is pondering her next move. She’s now requesting all well wishes to help her get a new house.

She says she has fixed herself in her son’s house which is also too small.
