Shock in Rukungiri: 6 Year Old Killed, Found Hidden in the Polythene Bag.

Rukungiri: A shocking incident has left residents of Buyanja Sub-county, Rukungiri district in fear after a man identified as Anthony Begumisa allegedly killed a young boy and injured another person with a panga.

The incident happened September at around 8:00 pm in Kishonga Upper Cell, Rubanga Parish. A 6-year-old boy, who had been staying with relatives, was found hidden in a polythene bag inside a kitchen in critical condition. He was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately died shortly after.

According to the LC1 chairman of Kishonga Upper Cell Vincent Kakunyu, the deceased was originally from Mitooma district but was staying with relatives in the area.

Kakunyu told our reporter that the suspect is said to be mentally ill. He attacked the boy and an elderly man with a panga. Sadly, the child died on the way to the hospital, while the old man is still receiving treatment.

By the time our reporter filed this story, police had not yet issued a statement.
