Sheik Byaruhanga rallies moslems on embracing dev’t projects.
Rukungiri: Moslems have been urged to involve themselves in income generating projects if they are to live a joyful life.
The call was on Sunday June 18, 2024 made by the Rukungiri district Kadh Sheik Abdul Malik Kayole Byaruhanga during Eid al-Adha celebrations at Rukungiri main mosque in Rukungiri municipality.
Sheik Abdul informed moslem faithfuls that venturing into developmental projects will not only ensure the transformation of their homes but also mosques (their places of worship).
He hailed the Mufti of Uganda Sheik Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje for harmonizing with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on possible ways of involving Moslems in Parish development model without hurting Islamic principles. He challenged Moslems to participate in government programs that are aimed at bettering their livelihoods.
Muslims worldwide mark Eid Al-Adha, to commemorate the Prophet Ibrahim’s readiness to sacrifice his son as a sign of his obedience to God, during which they sacrifice permissible animals, generally goats, sheep, and cows.
