Rukungiri Principal Human Resource Officer Retires Early

Rukungiri Principal Human Resource Officer, Ivan Tumwebaze, who has been serving under the Human Resource Management unit in the office of the Chief Administrative Officer, has officially handed over office to his immediate supervisors following his early retirement.

The handover was conducted during a meeting held on September 1, at Rukungiri District headquarters in the main hall.

He has worked with Rukungiri District Local Government for over 10 years and five months, beginning as a Human Resource Officer in 2015. In 2018, he was promoted to Senior Human Resource Officer, and in 2022, he rose to the rank of Principal Human Resource Officer, a position he has held until his retirement.

Tumwebaze chose early retirement after years of consideration, noting that he had always desired to leave public service before reaching the mandatory retirement age of 60. He now intends to focus on private business ventures as his source of income and encouraged workers to remain committed to their duties while still in service.
