
Rukungiri Muslim District Khadhi Urges Unity Among Faiths During Eid Al-Fitr Prayers
Rukungiri: The Rukungiri Muslim District Khadhi, Sheikh Abdul Malik Byaruhanga, has urged the newly appointed Sheikh Asuman Kagwa to foster unity and build bridges between Muslims and other religious groups in Rujumbura County.
This message was delivered on March 30, during Eid Al-Fitr prayers held at Bikurungu Playground in Bikurungu Town Council, Rujumbura County, Rukungiri District. The gathering also served as a welcoming ceremony for Sheikh Asuman Kagwa, who will now lead the Muslim community in Rujumbura County.
The event featured the unveiling of a new vehicle for Sheikh Asuman Kagwa and Quran competitions among the youngest Muslim children.
Sheikh Byaruhanga encouraged Muslims to actively participate in politics to ensure their voices are heard and their rights are well represented.

In his remarks, the newly installed Sheikh Asuman Kagwa expressed his gratitude and pledged to work towards fostering unity and cooperation among all religious groups. He extended his appreciation to Hon. Frank Arinaitwe Rukanirwa, Annah Nuwagaba, and other political leaders for their support.
Sheikh Byaruhanga also commended the Muslim community for observing Ramadan and celebrating Eid Al-Fitr. He particularly thanked Hon. Frank Arinaitwe Rukanirwa for his efforts in promoting cooperation, which has helped eliminate religious criticism in Rujumbura County.
