Rukungiri Municipality Should Be Called a Village – MP Aspirant Nathan Kamugisha Slams Poor Service Delivery.

Rukungiri: The aspiring Member of Parliament for Rukungiri Municipality Nathan Kamugisha Akadwanaho, has expressed deep concern over what he described as the dismal state of services in the area, saying it no longer deserves to be called a municipality.

Speaking in an interview with our news reporter on April 28, at Kinyasano Hill, Kamugisha pointed to persistent challenges such as lack of access to clean water, poor healthcare services, high costs of education even in government schools, and the absence of electricity in some cells within the municipality.

“The level of service here is embarrassing. This place should be called a village, not a municipality,” Kamugisha said, expressing frustration over what he termed as failed leadership.

He cited the example of the water source in Kagarama A, which supplies water to Rujumbura Constituency, yet residents of the municipality continue to suffer from water scarcity.

Kamugisha called on residents of Rukungiri Municipality to support his candidacy in the upcoming elections, pledging to be a leader who listens and works directly to improve their lives.
