
Rubabo MP Hon. Naboth Namanya Urges Voters to Shun Political Wrangles Ahead of 2026 Elections
Rukungiri: The Rubabo County Member of Parliament, Hon. Naboth Namanya, has called on his constituents to remain united and avoid political wrangles as the country gears up for the 2026 General Elections.
Hon. Namanya made the appeal after picking his nomination forms on Thursday, July 10, 2025, from the People’s Front for Freedom (PFF) Electoral Commission offices in Katonga, where he declared his intention to run for a second term as the Rubabo Constituency legislator.
On Friday, July 11, 2025, the MP received a heroic welcome at Kahengye, a gateway into Rukungiri district. He then embarked on a political drive that saw him traverse key areas including Kebisoni, Buyanja, Nyarushanje, and Nyakishenyi, where he interacted with supporters and local leaders
While addressing a jubilant crowd at Nyarushanje Model Primary School playground, Hon. Namanya emphasized the need for unity in Rubabo, regardless of political differences.
“My vision is to promote unity in Rubabo Constituency. I do not want to see divisions because of political affiliations. Let us build together,” he told the enthusiastic crowd.

He thanked the people of Rubabo for voting him into office during the 2021 elections and noted that he has already addressed many of the challenges in the constituency. He expressed confidence in achieving more if granted another term in office.
Looking ahead, Hon. Namanya outlined his priorities for the next term, including lobbying for the construction of a district referral hospital to improve health services, establishing a university to enhance education, and fighting poverty by empowering organized groups and associations.
