Robert Nuwamanya Takes Over as Ishaka Bushenyi Town Clerk, Promises Teamwork and Service

Bushenyi: In a warm handover ceremony held at the Ishaka Bushenyi Municipal Council Hall, Robert Nuwamanya officially assumed office as the new Town Clerk, replacing Mukobi Seleverio Byarufu, who has been transferred to Ntungamo Municipal Council.

The event, held on July 10, was filled with optimism and unity. It was attended by key leaders, including Resident District Commissioners (RDCs) and Mayors from both Bushenyi and Rukungiri Municipal Councils.

Nuwamanya thanked the staff of Rukungiri Municipal Council, where he previously worked, and appreciated the warm welcome from Ishaka Bushenyi Municipal Council. He expressed readiness to serve with dedication and openness, emphasizing teamwork as the key to achieving meaningful progress.

He pledged to build on the strong foundation laid by his predecessor, combining continuity with innovation to enhance municipal service delivery.

Outgoing Town Clerk Mukobi Seleverio Byarufu praised the staff and leadership of Ishaka Bushenyi for their professionalism and commitment. He noted that the new Town Clerk was stepping into a well-organized institution, with clean records, improved local revenue collection, and strong preparation for ongoing programs such as the Uganda Cities and Municipal Infrastructure Development (UCMID) project.

He said that his time at the council had been life-changing and that the incoming Town Clerk would find a stable work environment with functioning systems, managed debts, and motivated teams.

Mayor Richard Byaruhanga officially welcomed Nuwamanya and encouraged him to focus on service delivery and integrity. He pledged political support and emphasized the importance of working with commitment, stating that the leadership would always be available for guidance and cooperation.
