Rev. Amanya Urges Youth to Stay Focused and Avoid Negative Influences
Rukungiri: The North Kigezi Diocesan Youth and Children’s Coordinator, Rev. Benson Amanya, who also serves as Chaplain at Makobore High School, has urged young people to seek God wholeheartedly and live productive lives that honor Him.
Rev. Amanya made the remarks on November 2, while closing a three-day youth conference held at Makerere College of Business and Computer studies, located in Kagyera Cell, Western Division, Rukungiri Municipality.
He emphasized the importance of personal reflection, accountability, and spiritual renewal, urging the youth to remain focused on building a bright future.
Rev. Amanya called on them to engage in meaningful activities, assist their parents with household responsibilities, and avoid harmful behaviors such as drug abuse, delinquency, gambling, adultery, and negative peer influence.
He reminded the youth that, “those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
