Rukungiri: Residents of Ndere parish Ruhinda sub-county Rujumbura constituency have expressed frustration over the sorry state of Kabaare Bridge that connects Omwitaba and Kajunju villages.

They told our reporter on Wednesday July 24, 2024 that one of the residents fell on the same bridge and died on spot.

Residents say they are now worried about their children lives who use the same bridge as they go to Kajunju primary school.

They asked the chairperson LCV Rukungiri Geofrey Kyomukama and the area Member of Parliament Maj. Gen. Jim Muhwezi to work on this bridge if they are to get their votes in the forthcoming 2026 general elections.

Geofrey Kyomukama who was in the area to commission boreholes that were lobbied by Maj Gen Muhwezi from Turkey said that he will Liaise with other district leaders to have the bridge fixed.
