Residents of Ndyabihanga Cell Demand Village Division for Better Services
Residents of Ndyabihanga Cell in Katonya Parish, Nyakishenyi Sub-county, Rukungiri District, are calling on the government to divide their village into two, citing its large size and population of more than 140 families.
According to residents Rosemary Tamwesingire, Magret Abinageri, and Joventa Tumubwine, the size of the village has made it difficult for them to access government services. They explained that funds allocated to the village are insufficient to cover the needs of the entire population, leaving many residents underserved.
They added that dividing the cell into two would improve service delivery and ensure equitable access to government programs.
