RDC Nsubuga Urges Journalists to Ensure Balanced Reporting

Rukungiri: The Rukungiri Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Stephen Bewayo Nsubuga, has called on journalists to report news stories fairly and with balance. 

Speaking at the recent launch of the rehabilitation of four major roads within Rukungiri Municipality, Bewayo emphasized the importance of presenting both sides of a story.

He explained that when a person contacts a journalist with his side of the story, the journalist should also seek out the perspective of the accused to ensure balanced reporting. This approach, he stated, is essential for uncovering the truth.

He warned journalists to avoid accepting money from individuals who provide information on certain issues. According to Bewayo, such individuals often have false and biased information, as truthful and valuable information does not require payment to be published.
