RDC Kagisha Urges Gables Vocational Students to Uphold Discipline and Hard Work

Rukungiri: The Assistant Resident District Commissioner (ARDC) for Rukungiri, Kallen Kagisha, has urged students to be disciplined and work hard in order to achieve success in the future.

Kagisha made the remarks on October 9, during the swearing-in ceremony of new student leaders at Gables Vocational Training Centre, located in Southern Division, Rukungiri Municipality.

While addressing the gathering, Kagisha congratulated both the outgoing and incoming prefects, urging the new leaders to uphold discipline, maintain order, and promote respect within the school. She encouraged them to work closely with teachers to help students stay focused on their education.

She also reminded the prefects to ensure that students adhere to school rules and maintain proper dress code. Kagisha further advised the students to be patriotic, saying patriotism begins with personal responsibility and good behavior, which later extends to building a better nation.

The school principal, Able Byabagambi Bashome, thanked the outgoing leaders for their dedication and good service during their term. He called upon the new student leadership, led by the Guild President, to lead by example and inspire their peers to embrace positive behavior and values.

In his speech, the new Guild President, Amos Mugarura, expressed gratitude to the students for trusting him with the position. He pledged to lead with discipline and to encourage his fellow students to follow school rules and regulations. Mugarura also promised to support students struggling with discipline and to organize activities that promote teamwork and responsibility.
