Police Preach Christ-Centered Living During Church Service in Rukungiri

Rukungiri: The officer in charge of Mabanga Police Post in Kebisoni Sub-county, Naboth Aryaija, has urged believers to put Jesus Christ at the center of everything they do.

Aryaija made the call on August 3, during a special church service held at All Saints Church of Uganda under the North Kigezi Diocese in Rukungiri Municipality, which was led by the Uganda Police in Rukungiri, under the leadership of District Police Commander (DPC) Apollo Kyangungu.

The service featured praise and worship songs, thanksgiving, and preaching, all conducted by police officers as part of their spiritual outreach and community engagement.

Aryaija emphasized that both police officers and civilians need Christ in their daily lives and should involve Him in their work, businesses, studies, and families to achieve meaningful success. He noted that the Uganda Police has transformed from being a feared force into one that upholds a strong relationship with God and the Church.

He further encouraged the public and religious leaders to include police officers in gospel ministry, reminding them that all people are created in God’s image and should not be left out of spiritual activities. Aryaija also advised community members including clergy, teachers, peasants, and fellow officers to focus on constructive development rather than engaging in activities that destroy others’ lives, businesses, or families.

Speaking to our reporter after the service, DPC Apollo Kyangungu appreciated the leadership of All Saints Church for warmly welcoming the police. He called for continued cooperation between the Church, community members, and security agencies to foster peace and development throughout Rukungiri District.
