
Peace Rugambwa Urges Public to Stop Exploiting the Poor
Ntungamo: The Senior Presidential Advisor on Agriculture, Peace Rugambwa, who also serves as the Chairperson of the Boona Bagaigahare Nyekundire Group in the Ankole and Kigezi regions, has urged the public to stop exploiting poor people.
Rugambwa made the remarks on October 18, during a meeting with residents of Kyobwe Parish held at her residence in Nyanga 1 Cell, Rwentobo Town Council, Ntungamo District.
She emphasized the importance of standing up for the vulnerable and marginalized, saying that everyone deserves access to the resources and support needed to thrive. Rugambwa pledged to continue sharing her resources with vulnerable people to uplift their livelihoods.
“Justice for the poor is a fundamental concept that underpins many aspects of society from legal systems to social movements and it is all about fairness, equality, and ensuring that individuals receive what they deserve in everyday life,” Rugambwa said.
She also encouraged the public to embrace hard work and determination, noting that this is key to breaking the cycle of poverty and improving one’s socioeconomic status.
Rugambwa further urged Ugandans to support President Yoweri Museveni’s initiatives and actively participate in the government programs aimed at boosting productivity and eradicating poverty.
She appealed to the youth to change their mindset, embrace teamwork, and focus on productive ventures that can enhance their income and overall well-being.
Rugambwa concluded by calling on residents to remain united and protect the progress made under government development programs.
