Parents Urged to Take Full Responsibility for Children’s Education

Rukungiri: Parents have been encouraged to take full responsibility for their children’s education if they are to achieve quality academic results.

This message was delivered on November 28 by the Director of Graceland Academy Nursery and Primary School, Bishop Onesmus Ngoboka, during the school’s 3rd graduation ceremony held at the school premises in Kitojo Cell, Nyaruronda Parish, Nyakagyeme Sub-County.

Bishop Ngoboka applauded parents for their continued commitment to their children’s education, assuring them that the sacrifices they make today will yield significant benefits in the future.

He further urged parents to spend quality time with their children during the holiday and engage them in domestic work to help build responsibility and essential life skills.

Representing the District Education Officer, the Inspector of Schools in charge of Special Needs and People with Disabilities, Peace Kembabazi, called on parents to support children with disabilities equally and ensure they receive the same educational opportunities as other learners.

She emphasized that investing in education remains the surest way to secure a better future for all children.

The Headmistress, Fosca Nuwagaba, advised parents to spend time guiding their children during this holiday and encourage them to practice the skills and packages they have learned.

She appreciated parents for their unwavering support, noting that not every child is privileged to receive such care and commitment. Nuwagaba confirmed that the school currently has an enrollment of 281 pupils.
