Parents Urged to Prioritize Education as a Lasting Family Legacy.

Rukungiri: The retired District Education Officer (DEO) for Kabale district now serves as education Coordinator for the North Kigezi Diocese Sabiiti Kenneth Baabo, has urged parents to invest in their children’s education, emphasizing that it is a lasting legacy for families.

Sabiiti made this call on December 3, as the guest of honor during a graduation ceremony at St. Paul’s Community Primary School in Katenga cell, Rwakabengo ward, Southern Division, Rukungiri Municipality. 

The event marked the promotion of 86 pupils from nursery (top class) to primary level. Sabiiti commended parents for their dedication to their children’s education, assuring them that their efforts would yield great rewards in the future. 

“Education is the best investment for your children; it secures their future and brings pride to the family,” Sabiiti noted. 

The school director Baruho Yosamu, reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to the well-being and academic success of its pupils. He encouraged parents to continue enrolling their children at the school, stating that education is key to preparing them for a secure and meaningful future. 

The Headteacher Simon Kushaba, also emphasized the importance of parental involvement during the school holiday. He urged parents to assign children domestic tasks that can enhance their cognitive skills and responsibility. 

Kushaba highlighted the school’s growth, noting its current enrollment of 656 pupils, and called for continued support from parents to ensure the school remains a hub for quality education.
