Nyamunuka Speaker Yasin Katafa Graduates With Master’s Degree, Urges Youth to Pursue Education
Bushenyi: The Speaker of Nyamunuka Town Council in Ntungamo District, Yasin Byamukama Katafa, has graduated with a Master’s degree in Business Administration, majoring in Accounting and Finance, from Kampala International University (KIU) Ishaka–Bushenyi campus.
Katafa, who is the NRM flag bearer for the Nyamunuka Town Council mayoral seat and the incumbent Youth Councillor, was among the 2,184 students who graduated in various disciplines during KIU’s 32nd graduation ceremony on November 29.
Speaking to our reporter shortly after the event, Katafa expressed gratitude to everyone who has supported him throughout his academic and political journey, including those who prayed for him and offered encouragement.
He urged young people to prioritize education and gain qualifications so they can be prepared for future opportunities. Katafa advised them not to rush for immediate employment after graduation, but to study with the goal of gaining knowledge and building a foundation for long-term success.
Katafa also called on fellow politicians to focus on being true leaders rather than mere rulers, emphasizing the need for selfless service aimed at transforming communities.
He appealed to the people of Nyamunuka Town Council to support him in the upcoming general elections as he seeks to become their next mayor.
Yasin Byamukama Katafa, who began leadership at a young age, believes his long experience has equipped him with the skills and potential to continue serving the public. His leadership journey includes:
