NRM Flag Bearer Joel Gumisiriza Nominated for LCIII Chairperson, Southern Division

Rukungiri: The National Resistance Movement (NRM) flag bearer, Joel Gumisiriza, has been fully nominated to contest for the position of LCIII Chairperson for Southern Division in Rukungiri Municipality.

Gumisiriza was nominated on September 11 at the Rukungiri District Headquarters by the District Returning Officer, Abas K. Namanya, during the ongoing nomination exercise conducted by the Electoral Commission (EC).

Speaking shortly after his nomination, Gumisiriza, who hails from Rwakabengo in Rukungiri Municipality, pledged to prioritize infrastructure and social services once elected. He noted that improving roads, schools, and health facilities would be top on his agenda.

He further highlighted the challenge of limited access to clean water in Southern Division, promising to raise his voice on the matter. Gumisiriza also emphasized the need to expand electricity coverage in the division.

He called upon residents and voters in Southern Division to support his candidature, stressing that he is the most eligible candidate who understands the challenges facing the area.
