Musimenta Cledonia Confirms Bid for Rukungiri Woman MP Seat

Rukungiri: The aspiring Woman Member of Parliament for Rukungiri District Cledonia Musimenta, has collected her nomination forms for the 2026 elections.

Cledonia picked up her expression of interest forms from the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Electoral Commission offices in Kampala on June 4.

Speaking to our news reporter in a phone interview, Musimenta addressed recent rumors suggesting she had withdrawn from the race in favor of other leaders. She dismissed the claims, asserting that she is fully registered and committed to contesting.

Musimenta emphasized the importance of voter awareness and urged the public to remain patient as the Electoral Commission continues its preparations. She encouraged citizens to elect leaders who understand the real challenges facing their communities, calling for a focus on competence, experience, and dedication.
