Mother of quadruplets Cries for Help After Husband Abandons Family.
Rukungiri: A 36-year-old mother of five, Mary Kyomugisha has cried out for help after being abandoned by her husband, Asiimwe Elikangira, three years ago.
Kyomugisha, a resident of Izinga 2 Cell, Bunono Parish in Nyarushanje Sub-county, Rukungiri District, is struggling to raise her five children alone including a set of quadruplet daughters born on 7th January, 2022, and a 5-year-old son.
Speaking to our news reporter on July 1, in a phone interview, Kyomugisha said she is facing serious challenges providing for her children, especially school fees, healthcare, and basic needs like food and clothing.
Kyomugisha revealed that despite giving birth to quadruplets, she has never received any support from the government. She now depends on well-wishers for essentials such as milk and a place to stay.
“I have no money to take the quadruplets to school. I’m appealing to anyone who can help us,” Merry said.

The Nyarushanje Sub-county LC3 Chairperson, Michael Musiime, condemned the growing trend of men abandoning their families. He emphasized that such behavior leaves women burdened and slows down development in the area.
Musiime urged men to be responsible and support their wives in raising children.
