Miss Uganda 2024 Natasha Nyonyozi Eyes Miss World Crown.
Kabale: Miss Uganda 2024/25, Natasha Nyonyozi, has revealed her intention to contest in the Miss World competition.
Speaking during a media address and a radio talk show in Kabale District on October 24, 2024, she expressed her hopes of following in the footsteps of her predecessors, such as Quiin Abenakyo, who was crowned Miss World Africa in 2018.
Nyonyozi, who returned to her home district Kabale to a warm reception ahead of her official homecoming and thanksgiving celebrations, shared her excitement for the upcoming event scheduled for Saturday, October 26, 2024, in Kyonyo, Kamuganguzi Sub County.
During an Interview with our reporter, she announced her plans to visit the Kikungiri Center for the disabled on October 25, as well as other homes for the disadvantaged in Kabale District. She also intends to visit local schools, encouraging young girls to stay focused, confident, and trust in God to guide their paths. Nyonyozi, an advocate for children with special needs, particularly those with autism, shared her dream of starting a foundation to support children with disabilities.
The official celebrations in Kigezi will culminate with the Lake Bunyonyi Eco Marathon, where Nyonyozi will serve as the chief runner on October 26. The day will conclude with a thanksgiving service at her home in Kamuganguzi, Kyonyo, led by Rt. Rev. Gaddie Akanjuna, the Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi.
Brenda Nanyonjo, Chief Executive Officer of Miss Uganda, accompanied Nyonyozi and thanked the people of Kigezi for voting for their own, helping her secure the Miss Uganda crown. Nanyonjo urged the public to continue supporting Nyonyozi as she moves to the next level of the competition, expressing optimism for her chances at Miss World.
