Mama Florence Asiimwe calls on Women to participate in Women’s conference at Kinyasano Girls H/S.

Rukungiri: Women have been encouraged to attend the ongoing North Kigezi Diocese Female Conference, being held at Kinyasano Girls High School in Kinyasano Ward, Western division, Rukungiri Municipality.

This call was made on Wednesday August 28, 2024 by Mama Florence Asiimwe, a wife to Rt. Rev. Onesmus Asiimwe, the Bishop of North Kigezi Diocese, and the organizer of the conference.

Mama Florence emphasized that the main theme of the conference is derived from the book of Romans 12:2, further calling on Christians not to conform to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of their minds.

She noted that this is the first time such a conference is being held and promised that it will become an annual event.

The woman of God further mentioned that they have prepared for a gathering of 1,000 women.

Irene Tumwesigire, the Mothers’ Union Coordinator in North Kigezi diocese, expressed gratitude, saying that the day they had been planning and preparing for has finally arrived.

The conference started on Wednesday this week and will run until August 31, 2024.
