
Love Wins: Bright Weds Rukungiri’s Communications Boss Maurice Kemigisha
Kabale: Bright Niwamanya, a Loans Officer at Muchahi SACCO in Rubanda District, has officially wedded Maurice Kemigisha, a journalist and the Communications Officer for Rukungiri Municipality, who also lectures at Bishop Barham University College (BBUC) in Kabale District.
The couple exchanged vows in a joyful ceremony on July 26, that began with a holy matrimony mass at Christ the King Catholic Church in Kabale Municipality, presided over by Rev. Fr. Austen Christmas, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Good Shepherd Rushoroza Cathedral.
In his homily, Fr. Austen urged the couple to remain focused on their Christian values while pursuing their careers. He emphasized the importance of keeping their eyes on the cross as a reminder of Christ’s sacrifice.
The church ceremony was followed by a grand reception held at Brazin Forest Resort Kabale, attended by family, friends, religious leaders, and local dignitaries.
Speaking at the reception, the groom’s parents, Alex and Florence Rwabaganda of Bubaare Town Council in Rubanda District, expressed their joy at seeing their son marry a God-fearing and humble woman. They advised the newlyweds to be patient, communicate effectively, and always pray together.
The bride’s parents, Gervis and Fausta Muhumuza from Kayonza Sub-county in Kanungu District, praised Maurice as a respectful and focused young lady. They encouraged the couple to build their home on Christian values and remain united in love and faith.

During her remarks, the bride, Maurice Kemigisha, described her husband as a loving, humble, and visionary man. She pledged to be a supportive and prayerful wife committed to building a strong and God-fearing family.
The groom, Bright Niwamanya , thanked Kemigisha for accepting to walk the journey of life with him. He promised to love, respect, and protect her always.
The couple also extended heartfelt appreciation to all who contributed to making their wedding a success, including their parents, church, friends, and organizing team.
Maurice Kemigisha, is a former journalist at Radio Maria Kabale. She currently serves as the Public Relations Officer for Rukungiri Municipality and is a lecturer at BBUC Kabale. She holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations from Makerere University.
The wedding of Bright and Maurice was not just a union of two hearts, but a celebration of love, faith, and commitment in front of God and the people who matter most.
