Little Angels Nursery and Primary School to Launch PLE Center Next Year

Rukungiri: Little Angels Nursery and Primary School in Rukungiri Municipality will begin hosting Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) for its Primary Seven candidates starting next year.

This announcement was made on November 29 by the school director Hon. Betty Muzanira, during the graduation ceremony of 25 Top Class pupils held at the school premises located in Katerera Rukungiri Municipality.

Speaking at the event, the district councilor for the Southern Division and a member of the school board Annah Barekye, commended Hon. Muzanira and the school staff for their commitment to nurturing children through quality education. She encouraged the graduates and other students to aim high and draw inspiration from accomplished leaders in the nation.

The school’s headteacher Kenneth Turyasingura, urged parents to avoid transferring their children between schools, as it disrupts their education. He emphasized the importance of letting children complete each level of education in one school to provide stability and consistent learning.

The former Rukungiri Woman MP and a professional teacher Hon. Muzanira, thanked God for the school’s achievements and assured parents that no child would be sent away due to school fees challenges. She emphasized that the school is committed to providing holistic education.

Muzanira also expressed concern over external influences harming children, such as drugs, alcohol, and energy drinks. She urged parents to protect their children from such dangers and discouraged them from moving children to other schools, a trend she said is often driven by incentives from other institutions.

The chairperson of the school board and guest of honor Rwamateka Donozio, advised parents to choose affordable schools that prioritize holistic education over those focusing solely on passing exams. He stressed the need for parents to save for their children’s secondary and higher education.

Established in 2005, Little Angels Nursery and Primary School currently enrolls 250.
