Kyamakanda Secondary School Staff Play Friendly Match with Country Radio as 40th Anniversary Approaches.
Rukungiri: As Kyamakanda Secondary School gears up for its 40th anniversary, the staff held a friendly football match with Country Radio 87.6FM Radio Yeitu staff on October 2.
The event kicked off with a curtain-raiser match between Kyamakanda Homeboys FC and the students of Kyamakanda Secondary School, resulting in a 1-0 victory for Kyamakanda Homeboys FC.
Following this, the main event saw the staff of Kyamakanda Secondary School face off against the Country Radio staff in a friendly match, which ended in a 0-0 draw.
The match was held at Kyamakanda playground in Buyanja Town Council, Rukungiri District.
After the game, Country Radio station manager Jackline Tumuheirwe addressed the public, urging students to uphold the legacy of Kyamakanda Secondary School through academic excellence and positive behavior in the community.
David Turyamusima, the headteacher of Kyamakanda Secondary School, highlighted that the purpose of the game was to prepare for the school’s 40th-anniversary celebrations, set to take place this Saturday on October 5. He thanked the Country Radio staff for accepting the invitation to participate in the friendly match and encouraged both organizations to continue fostering a strong friendship.
