Kisoro Police in hunt for murder Suspects.

Kisoro: Police in Kisoro are hunting for unknown assailant (s) who allegedly murdered an unidentified male adult.

It’s alleged that on Sunday May 19, 2024 at around 07:00 am, in Kashija cell, Kashija ward, Rubuguri town council in Kisoro district, while Jackson Tumwesigye went to his farm to check on his cows, before entering the gate of the farm, he saw a body of a person lying in a trench next to his farm covered with fresh leaves.

He immediately alerted the area LCI Bakina Sipiriyano who also informed the police.

Upon receiving information, the scene of crime was visited and documented by a team of investigators and officers from canine unit, where they retrieved the body and took it Kisoro hospital mortuary for postmortem.

The body had injuries on the neck occasioned by a sharp object.

Elly Maate, the Kigezi region Police spokesperson said a case of murder by cutting has been registered at Kisoro central Police Station under reference number CRB:350/2024.

According to Maate, there was no document recovered from the deceased for identification and further revealed that Inquiries into the matter are underway.

The police spokesperson called upon any person missing the dear one to visit the hospital mortuary so that the body is identified and taken for a decent burial.
