
Kanyinya Vocational Training Institute Graduates 190 Students at 6th Ceremony.
Rukungiri: Kanyinya Vocational Training Institute and Driving School has celebrated its 6th graduation ceremony, marking a major milestone in the institution’s journey.
The event took place at the school premises in Nyaruzinga Cell, Ndorero Ward, Southern Division, Rukungiri Municipality on June 28.
Speaking during the ceremony, the school’s academic registrar, Rodgers Tumurebire, revealed that a total of 190 students graduated 160 with certificates and 30 with diplomas in various vocational and technical courses.
The principal of the institute, Kenneth Mugisha, encouraged the graduates to remain exemplary, professional, and ethical in their respective fields. He urged them to become job creators rather than job seekers, emphasizing that Uganda needs more skilled and practical individuals.
Mugisha advised graduates to never underestimate any job and to accept opportunities, even those with modest pay, as stepping stones toward building a successful career.
The school director, Obadiah Byamwijuka, appreciated parents for prioritizing their children’s education, saying it’s a legacy that will benefit future generations. He echoed the message of humility and hard work, also commending the government of Uganda for promoting education and making learning accessible to local communities.
Graduates such as Prudance Ainembabazi, Justus Kamanzi, Praise Byamuhaki, and Anitah Tumuhimbise praised their parents for the unwavering support especially in paying fees and providing for their needs which they said has contributed to their success.
