Hon. Mastsiko Gilbert Bigwera Launches Campaign, Vows to Fix Roads and Promote Beekeeping in Ndorwa West

Kabale: Hon. Mastsiko Gilbert Bigwera, an aspirant for Member of Parliament for Ndorwa West in Kabale District, has expressed concern over the poor state of roads in the area.

Speaking during his campaign launch at Kyitoma Playground in Kyitoma Parish, Rubaya Sub-county on October 25, Bigwera said it was disappointing that the roads remain in bad condition despite the area having a minister representing Ndorwa West.

He pledged to focus on improving health and education services once elected, saying these sectors are key to the development of the community.

Bigwera also revealed plans to introduce apiculture (beekeeping) in Ndorwa West. He explained that beekeeping not only provides honey for income and medicine but also helps families earn a steady monthly income, addressing the challenge of low household earnings.

On the ongoing political divisions within the ruling NRM party, Bigwera said he will take advantage of the infighting between State Minister for Trade, Industry, and Cooperatives Hon. David Bahati who is also the Kabale District NRM chairperson and Counsel Eliab Naturinda Mporera, who defeated Bahati in a previous election.

He urged the people of Ndorwa West to ignore the conflicts among NRM leaders and instead vote for him as their next Member of Parliament.
