
Hon. Doreen Busingye Donates Over 200 Hoes to Boost Food Security in Rubabo
Rukungiri: In a bid to combat poverty and guarantee food security, the aspiring Member of Parliament for Rubabo Constituency, Hon. Doreen Busingye Muheru, has donated more than 200 hoes to residents of Kizinga A, Kizinga B, and Matebe cells in Buyanja Town Council, Rukungiri District.
While handing over the farming tools on September 21, Hon. Busingye encouraged residents to embrace modern and productive agricultural practices that would not only ensure food security in their homes but also enable them to earn income from surplus produce.
The donation fulfills her pledge that every household in Rubabo Constituency will receive a hoe, a step she said is aimed at transforming lives and eradicating poverty.
Beneficiaries of the donation, including Medius Tumukwasibye Kyakayanga, Jane Turyamureeba, and Laurence Mucunguzi, praised Hon. Busingye for her generosity and commitment to uplifting the community. They noted that leaders who prioritize people’s needs deserve all the support.
Residents further pledged to stand with Hon. Busingye, commending her for understanding their challenges and providing practical solutions that improve their livelihoods.
Hon. Busingye reiterated her commitment to continue supporting every home in Rubabo Constituency until all households are empowered with farm tools.
