Municipal Division Results

In Southern Division, Generous Annah Kembabazi (NRM) won the directly elected councillor seat with 1,144 votes, defeating Johnson Kapesha (Independent) who scored 435 votes, and Alex Kato (PFF) with 905 votes.

In Western Division, Mathias Kamusime (PFF) won the directly elected seat with 2,242 votes, defeating Ben Kukundakwe (NRM) who polled 1,708 votes.

The Western Division Woman Councillor seat was won by Beatrice Tunanukire Turyagumanawe (PFF) with 2,362 votes, defeating Precious Mwesigye (NRM) who got 1,591 votes.

For the Eastern and Southern Division Woman Councillor seat, Annah Barekye (NRM) won with 2,984 votes, defeating Gauda Asiimwe (PFF) who scored 2,246 votes.

In Eastern Division, Fred Mucunguzi (NRM) won the directly elected councillor seat with 1,590 votes, defeating Dickson Nampumuza (PFF) who had 1,173 votes.

Sub-county and Town Council Directly Elected Councillors

In Nyakishenyi Sub-county, Brian Ainebyona (NRM) won with 4,725 votes, defeating Africa Byaruhanga (Independent) with 3,908 votes, Safari Boneveture (Independent) with 374 votes, and Vincent Bataka Batureine (NUP) with 92 votes.

In Kebisoni Town Council, Edward Muhwezi Katungi (NRM) won with 2,462 votes, defeating Musa Tukamushaba (PFF) who scored 585 votes, and Gilbert Nimusima (NUP) with 67 votes.

In Bugangari Sub-county, William Ngabirano (NRM) won with 2,403 votes, defeating Gard Muhoozi (Independent) who polled 1,653 votes, and Julius Tumuhimbise (PFF) with 506 votes.

In Buhunga Sub-county, Samuel Gakibayo (NRM) won with 3,186 votes, defeating Gordon Muhereza (PFF) who scored 1,959 votes, and Sergious Muramuzi (Independent) with 392 votes.

In Bwambara Sub-county, Justus Ngabirano (NRM) won with 4,139 votes, defeating Kisakyakatonda (PFF) who scored 2,229 votes.

In Ruhinda Sub-county, Tomath Musiimenta (PFF) won with 2,454 votes, defeating Benson Karyamarwaki (NRM) who scored 2,169 votes, Ismail (Independent) with 897 votes, and George Marebaki (Independent) with 384 votes.

In Buyanja Town Council, Simon Mwebesa (PFF) won with 760 votes, defeating Ronaldo Nuwabiine (NRM) who polled 460 votes.

In Nyakagyeme Sub-county, Ferex Atuhire (NRM) won with 4,315 votes, defeating Julius Atuhabwe (PFF) who got 1,644 votes, and Evartt Andinda (Independent) with 822 votes.

In Kebisoni Sub-county, James Turyamubona (NRM) won with 2,583 votes, defeating Ahab Nasasira (PFF) who scored 1,080 votes.

In Bikurungu Town Council, Emmanuel Mwebesa (NRM) won with 678 votes, defeating Julius Mugarura (Independent) with 362 votes, and Salvan Turyagumizamu (PFF) who scored 219 votes.

In Nyarushanje Sub-county, Ananias Turyashemererwa was elected unopposed.

In Buyanja Sub-county, Albert Rwamugata (NRM) won with 3,616 votes, defeating Kiiza Kirema (PFF) who scored 3,180 votes.

Women Councillor Results

In Nyarushanje Sub-county, Irene Tumusiime (NRM) won with 5,519 votes, defeating Annet Tumwikirize (PFF) who got 1,325 votes.

In Nyakishenyi Sub-county, Constance Tugabirwe (NRM) won with 5,417 votes, defeating Beatrice Twesigye (Independent) with 2,668 votes, and Patience Namanya (PFF) with 777 votes.

In Bwambara Sub-county and Bikurungu Town Council, Medius Mpirirwe (NRM) won with 4,198 votes, defeating Ireti Tusingwire who scored 3,300 votes.

In Ruhinda Sub-county, Immaculate Nduhukire won with 2,856 votes, defeating Loyce Kyomugisha (Independent) with 2,002 votes, and Docus Ekyatuhaire (PFF) who scored 1,045 votes.

In Bugangari Sub-county, Annah Tushabe (NRM) won with 4,579 votes, defeating Aidah Tumuhimbise Gaudy (PFF) who scored 1,950 votes.

In Nyakagyeme Sub-county and Rwerere Town Council, Phionah Nankunda (PFF) won with 3,772 votes, defeating Jolly Kemiruka (NRM) who got 3,614 votes, and Jasper Tusingwire (Independent) with 934 votes.

In Buhunga Sub-county, Allen Kyakusiire (NRM) won with 4,374 votes, defeating Bridget Atukunda (PFF) who scored 1,164 votes.

In Kebisoni Town Council, Caroline Komugisha (NRM) won with 2,516 votes, defeating Rosemary Tukamuhebwa (PFF) who scored 754 votes.

District Special Interest Group Councillors

For Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Emmanuel Turyabagyenyi (NRM) won the male district councillor seat with 56 votes, defeating James Rwamahe Oryoroba who scored 21 votes.

On the female PWDs seat, Mollen Asiimwe (NRM) won with 57 votes, defeating Agnes Kenyangi (Independent) who got 20 votes.

In the Older Persons category, Joan Kakwateki (NRM) won the female position with 74 votes, defeating Peninah Kobusingye (PFF) who scored 3 votes.

The male position was won by George Byaruhanga Rukara (NRM) with 52 votes, defeating Eradio Baryengoma Tibanyenda (Independent) with 26 votes, and Joseph Kyomugisha (PFF) who scored no votes.

For Workers’ representatives, Isaac Tushabe (Independent) won the male seat with 17 votes, defeating Jothan B. Kamara (NRM) who got 16 votes, and Rubanzana Muhumuza (Independent) with 6 votes.

The female workers’ seat was won by Susan Abinsinguza (NRM) with 25 votes, defeating Victoria Kiconco (PFF) who scored 14 votes.

In the Youth category, Harmony Tumwesigye (NRM) won the male district youth seat with 332 votes, defeating Jordan Besigye (PFF) who got 120 votes, Ian Nasasira (Independent) with 9 votes, and Innocent Agaba (Independent) with 78 votes.

On the female side, Marion Ainebyona (NRM) won with 308 votes, defeating Dorothy Amutuhaire (Independent) who got 107 votes, and Viola Ankwasize (PFF) with 126 votes.

Rukungiri Municipality Youth Councillors

For the Female Youth Councillor position, Anitah Atukunda (PFF) won with 236 votes, defeating Bridget Nimusiima (NRM) who scored 156 votes.

The Male Youth Councillor seat was won by Boaz Kamusiime (PFF) with 229 votes, defeating Moses Kakuru (NRM) who got 164 votes.
