Country Radio 87.6FM Hosts Successful Day of Prayer and Fasting
Rukungiri: Country Radio 87.6FM successfully held a Day of Prayer and Fasting attended by radio listeners, staff, and spiritual leaders.
The event took place at the Country Radio grounds on February 25, on Rwanyakashesha Hill in the Eastern Division of Rukungiri Municipality. It was held under the theme “Pursue, Overtake and Recover All.”
The main preacher, Rev. Frank Kiconco, the Vicar of All Saints Church Rukungiri, warned people against trusting in worldly things in search of power, such as witchcraft, energy drinks, adultery, and other ungodly practices.
He explained that no evil power can overcome God’s power. Rev. Kiconco encouraged the public to be patient with God, noting that although God’s blessings may delay, they never fail.
While delivering his testimony and spiritual message, the Mayor-elect of Kebisoni Town Council, Leonard Muhunguzi, who is a guest in the Enaama ya Ruhanga program on Country Radio, encouraged people not to be discouraged by negative words from others. He urged them to trust only in the living God and to serve Him faithfully.

He noted that people may go through difficult situations such as illness, debt, neglect, or the loss of loved ones, but emphasized that God remains the only true Savior. He also encouraged believers to sacrifice to God through thanksgiving and by helping the needy in order to achieve more in life.

While addressing the congregation, the Station Manager of Country Radio, Jackline Tumuheirwe, popularly known as Auntie Jackie, thanked everyone who honored the invitation and attended the prayer and fasting day. She also appreciated all supporters of the event, including the business community that supports the radio through advertisements and announcements.
She added that the Day of Prayer and Fasting will now be held quarterly as a way of dedicating the radio station to God, who has sustained and supported it since its beginning.
