Christians Urged to Embrace Unity for Church Development at Buhara Catholic Parish
Rukungiri: Christians of Holy Family Buhara Catholic Parish in Kabale Diocese have been urged to embrace unity as a key driver for the development of their church, despite the differences that may exist among them.
The call was made on January 25, by the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Dr. Julius Turyatoranwa, while delivering his homily during a Holy Mass that included baptism and the launch of the church choir, St. Augustine Choir.
Fr. Turyatoranwa reminded Christians that Christ is the light of the Church and encouraged believers to live in light and unity. He noted that meaningful development cannot be achieved where there is division among people.
He further called upon Christians to respect their vocations and work towards fulfilling their God-given purpose, saying that obedience and dedication to one’s calling attract God’s blessings.
Fr. Turyatoranwa, who also serves as the Director of St. Patrick Nursery and Primary School in Isingiro District, hosted a section of parents and pupils from Rukungiri District during the celebration.
The Chairperson of the St. Patrick Nursery and Primary School Rukungiri Chapter, Bruce Musiimenta, appreciated Fr. Julius for his love and care, particularly for supporting vulnerable children by helping them secure school sponsors.
