Christ Believers Temple Extends Love and Support to Expectant Mothers in Kebisoni
Rukungiri: Christians from Christ Believers Temple have extended support to pregnant mothers at Kebisoni Health Center IV in Kebisoni Town Council, Rukungiri District, as a sign of charity, cooperation, and love.
The church, located in Rugongi Cell, Rwentondo Ward, Eastern Division, Rukungiri Municipality, donated items on October 16, including basins, soap, bread, jelly, sugar, rice, and other essential materials to expectant mothers. The gesture aimed at supporting them and wishing them well in their journey to childbirth.
While delivering the items, Evangelist Alfred Mugarura Kaharata of Christ Believers Temple said such charitable activities are organized to put God’s word into action. He emphasized that the main intention is to show compassion and kindness, referring to Matthew 25:31–40, which teaches that “whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. He added that God blesses those who practice generosity and kindness.
Evangelist Alfred further encouraged the public to engage in charitable works, noting that such acts please God and help believers attain eternal life.

Alfred’s wife, Anabel Ayebare, and Gad Mugarura, the church youth chairperson, said the way people give to others determines how they will also receive. They called upon the community to work together to help the needy and expressed their commitment to continue supporting vulnerable individuals.

The maternity in-charge at Kebisoni Health Center IV, Moreen Ayebazibwe, appreciated the church for its support, noting that many women lack essential items during delivery, which poses a big challenge. She said the donated materials will improve the welfare of expectant mothers.

Some of the beneficiaries, including Gloria Kyomugisha, Lucky Ayinemukama, and Christine Akankunda, expressed gratitude to members of Christ Believers Temple for their generosity. They said such support will help them during delivery, as they often struggle to access necessary materials.
