Canon Ndimbirwe Bible College Celebrates Provisional Licensing After 42 Years.
Rukungiri: Canon Ndimbirwe Bible College in Kyamakanda Parish, Buyanja Town Council, Rukungiri District has held a thanksgiving ceremony to celebrate its recent provisional license, granted by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) in January 2025.
According to the Bishop of North Kigezi Diocese Rt. Rev. Bishop Onesimus Asiimwe, the NCHE approved the college to offer Diploma and Certificate courses in Theology during its meeting held on 30th January, 2025. Since its establishment in 1983, the institution has been offering theological certificates recognized only within the North Kigezi Diocese.
Speaking to our news reporter over the weekend, the Deputy Principal of the college, Rev. Martin Ngabirano, said the thanksgiving ceremony was organized to celebrate this major milestone. He noted that the new licensing means the college can now offer theology education recognized both nationally and internationally.
