Buhunga LCIII Chairperson Nominated for 2026 Elections

Rukungiri: The LCIII Chairperson and NRM flag bearer for Buhunga Sub County, Benon Mugisha, has been officially nominated to contest in the 2026 general elections.

Speaking to our reporter shortly after his nomination on September 22, Mugisha pledged to work for the people of Buhunga Sub County by representing their ideas at the district level once elected.

He appealed to voters to rally behind his candidature, saying he is the best choice since he understands the challenges hindering development in the sub county.

Mugisha emphasized that, if given the mandate, he will prioritize the expansion of electricity coverage, improvement of roads, schools, and health facilities across Buhunga.
