Boda Boda Riders Urged to Embrace Saving Culture at Rwabugumi Boda Boda Cup 

Rukungiri: Boda boda riders have been encouraged to adopt a saving culture to improve their livelihoods and secure their future. 

This advice was given on March 8, by the aspiring Member of Parliament for Rubabo Constituency Hon. Mathias Rwabugumi, during the Rwabugumi Boda Boda Cup 2025 held at Nyarushanje Model Primary School playground in Nyarushanje Subcounty, Rukungiri District. 

The tournament saw Nyabushenyi Boda Boda team dominate Kisizi Boda Boda team with a 3-0 victory, while Ndago team edged out Ibanda team with a 1-0 win. 

Rwabugumi noted that in the past, the boda boda profession was often looked down upon and associated with indiscipline. However, he emphasized that today, it has become one of the most vital and recognized jobs in the country, providing employment to thousands.
