Bishop Onesimus Asiimwe Commissions a New Classroom Block at Buhandazi Church of Uganda School

Rukungiri: The Bishop of North Kigezi Diocese, Rt. Rev. Onesimus Asiimwe, has officially commissioned a magnificent classroom block at Buhandazi Church of Uganda Nursery and Primary School in Nyabiteete Archdeaconry.

The new structures were constructed by the family of the late Muheru, led by Dr. Mary Zaramba, with support from the church.

During his homily on July 19, Bishop Asiimwe emphasized the importance of thanksgiving and encouraged Christians not to take life and blessings for granted. He urged believers to always give thanks to God for His grace. 

The Bishop reminded the congregation that Jesus attaches blessings to acts of gratitude, sharing the biblical story of the ten lepers healed by Jesus, where only one returned to give thanks and was saved.

Dr. Mary Zaramba explained that their family was thanking God for the gift of life and for sparing her husband, Zaramba, who survived a serious accident in Kampala.

The Headteacher of Buhandazi Church of Uganda Nursery and Primary School, Richard Ahimbisibwe, said the school is now focused on constructing a boarding section and staff quarters. He noted that this development will help reduce the challenges pupils face walking long distances to and from school. He also stated that the thanksgiving function aimed to raise funds to improve the school’s education standards.
