Bishop Onesimus Charges youths on realizing their potential.

Rukungiri: The Bishop of North Kigezi Diocese in Rukungiri district Rt. Rev. Onesimus Asiimwe has called on the youths to rise up and fully realize their potential through the gospel.

While addressing the media from his residence at Kinyasano hill in Rukungiri Municipality on Thursday August 30, 2024, Bishop Asiimwe emphasized the importance of young people attending the upcoming North Kigezi diocese Youth and Students’ Convention, where they will be equipped with the gospel to help them maximize their potential.

The prelate also encouraged parents to support their children in attending the convention, stressing that this event will introduce them to a vision of a bright future.

He noted that the youth are often the primary targets of negative influences, making it crucial for them to receive spiritual guidance.

Rev. Andrew Kananura, the Youth Coordinator for North Kigezi Diocese, said the convention aims to challenge young people to grow spiritually and become responsible members of the community.

The three-day convention will take place from September 4th to 7th, 2024, at the Diocese. The theme for this year’s event is “Rise and Shine”.
