Bishop Okello Calls on Youth to Repent and Embrace Prayer
Rukungiri: The Bishop of Revival Mission Church in Western Uganda, Michael Grace Okello, has urged youth to turn back to God, repent of their sins, and live prayerful lives to become true members of God’s family.
He made this call on December 10, during a youth conference at Rukungiri Revival Church in Omukabanda Cell, Northern A Ward, Eastern Division, Rukungiri Municipality. Bishop Okello encouraged the youth to live lives worthy of the gospel of Christ and to offer their bodies as “living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to God.”
He also challenged the youth to accept the gift of salvation, emphasizing that true peace comes from having Christ in their lives.
The theme of the conference is drawn from Matthew 26:41: “Watch and pray, so that you will not fall into temptation.” Youth from 60 Revival Mission Churches are attending this gathering.
The chairperson of all pastors under Revival Mission Churches Fred Mugarura, explained that the conference aims to foster unity and collaboration among the youth, helping them strengthen their spiritual mission.
The chairperson of youth in Revival Mission Church and Principal Town Agent of Northern A Ward, Cosma Mujurizi, highlighted that success for youth is rooted in prayer. He urged the youth to heed their parents’ advice and maintain discipline, which he said is key to success in life.
The conference, which started on December 9, will conclude on Saturday.
