
Bishop Akanjuna Commends Christians for Supporting Church Projects
Rukungiri: The Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, Rt. Rev. Gaddie Akanjuna, has praised Christians for their continued support towards church projects.
Bishop Akanjuna made the remarks on July 9, during the commissioning of a 14-apartment house built under the Women Empowerment Project by the Mother’s Union. The event took place in Gaju Cell, Nyabikoni Ward, Central Division of Kabale Municipality.
He highlighted that monetary support plays a vital role in keeping church activities alive and helps the church to successfully carry out both current and future projects. He thanked Christians for their generosity, which he said has enabled the diocese to make major progress in areas such as infrastructure and community outreach.
The bishop explained that these financial contributions are more than just donations they are investments in the spiritual and social well-being of the community. He noted that the funds help maintain church buildings, support education, improve healthcare, and promote evangelism across the Kigezi region.
