Archdeacon Atusinguza Calls on Christians to Embrace a Spirit of Thanksgiving

Rukungiri: The Archdeacon of St. Paul’s Rubirizi Archdeaconry in Nyarushanje Sub-County in North Kigezi Diocese, Ven. Rev. Captain Jallon Atusinguza, has urged Christians to cultivate a spirit of thanksgiving by focusing on the positive aspects of life rather than dwelling on the negative.

He delivered this message on November 23, at St. Andrew’s Rwakirungura Church of Uganda in Buyanja Subcounty during the thanksgiving ceremony of Alfred Twamwebonaire and his wife, Babra Namara, who contributed towards building a shade at the church.

Rev. Atusinguza emphasized that Christians should maintain unwavering faith in God, avoid complaining, and nurture gratitude, noting that a thankful heart attracts blessings from the Almighty. He added that those who depend fully on God remain steadfast in times of challenge, confident that their future is secure in Him.

He further stressed that “the more you give, the more you receive.”

In his remarks, Alfred Twamwebonaire said their thanksgiving was meant to appreciate God for the gift of life, his wife, and their family, as well as to support the construction of the shade at St. Andrew’s Rwakirungura Church of Uganda. He thanked all Christians for standing with him during the celebration.

A total of UGX 7,501,000 was collected to support the construction of the church shade.
