380 Christians Confirmed into the Anglican Faith in Rukungiri

Rukungiri: The Bishop of North Kigezi Diocese, Rt. Rev. Onesmus Asiimwe, confirmed 380 Christians into the Anglican faith during his pastoral visit to All Saints Church, Rukungiri.

The event took place on October 5, in Southern Division, Rukungiri Municipality.

In his sermon, Bishop Asiimwe urged young children to respect their parents and teachers, and to turn away from sinful behavior if they hope to succeed in life.

The confirmands included students from several schools such as St. Paul’s Community Primary School, Rukungiri Universal Primary School, Rukungiri Modern Primary School, and Little Angels Primary School.

The Bishop encouraged students to seek God and His righteousness instead of worrying about worldly affairs or using dishonest means to achieve their desires. He emphasized the importance of prayer and trusting in God’s provisions.

Bishop Asiimwe also warned the students against destructive behaviors like fighting and alcohol abuse, saying such actions destroy potential and hinder one’s purpose in life. He called on the young Christians to stay strong in their faith despite discouragement, reminding them that Satan seeks to derail their visions.
