Youth Urged to Stay Vigilant and Embrace Business Skills
Rukungiri: Over 230 youths from the 84 parishes of North Kigezi Diocese have successfully concluded their annual Next Generation Conference, held in partnership with the Diocese of Armidale, Australia.
The week-long conference took place at Kinyasano Girls High School, where speakers from both Armidale and North Kigezi Dioceses taught participants about Bible reading and exposition. The goal was to help the youths grow as responsible individuals who can effectively interpret and share the Bible to positively impact their lives.
The former Diocesan Youths Coordinator Ven. Andrew Kananura, on January 10, commended the youths for their discipline throughout the conference. He praised their willingness to learn how to live responsibly and engage in their communities.
Kananura who is also the Archdeacon of Kakinga Archdeaconry, congratulated the new Diocesan Youths Coordinator Rev. Amanya Benson and urged the youths to cooperate with Rev. Amanya to help him succeed in his new role.

The new parish priest of Karire Parish in Kakinga Archdeaconry Rev. David Owokwesiga, one of the conference preachers, highlighted the importance of preaching the true gospel. He stressed that many people tend to use personal opinions instead of the Bible when preaching and encouraged all attendees to participate in future conferences to learn correct Bible interpretation for everyone’s understanding.
