Country Radio, Kyabugashe High School close ties with 4 goals game thriller.
Rukungiri: It was a joyous day on Friday February 27, 2026 as Kyabugashe high school and Country Radio staff moved to strengthen their relationship in a friendly football match held at Kyabugashe High School playground in Rushasha parish, Nyakagyeme sub-county, Rukungiri District.
The much anticipated -thrilling game ended with all sides sharing the points after a levelled score of 2-2 at 90 minutes.
Onesmus Nahabwe and Samuel Amanya scored two goals in the first half giving country radio staff a comfortable lead at half time.
However their joy was cut short after Kyabugashe High School staff came rejuvenated in the last half of the game scoring two close goals courtesy of Nyamuhaki Collins and Savior Arizona.
Speaking before the start of the game, the outgoing headteacher of Kyabugashe High school Alvas Arinaitwe thanked Country Radio staff for accepting their invitation of a friendly match and encouraged both organisations to maintain the already established strong relationship.
On her part, the station manager Country Radio Jackline Tumuhairwe commonly known as Aunt jackie asked students to uphold the legacy of Kyabugashe high school through academic excellence and exhibit good behaviours in and around their communities.
Tumuhairwe promised to keep the relationship between the two institutions strong.
She commended the business community that made a significant contribution towards the realization of this wonderful event and named them as Dickens Boutique, Moses Jaj Investments and Jayz Juice.
