Christians Conclude Three-Day Diocesan Mission at Nyarurambi C.O.U Parish in Nyakishenyi Sub county.
Rukungiri: Christians from Nyarurambi Church of Uganda (C.O.U) Parish in Nyakishenyi Sub-county, Rukungiri District, have concluded a three-day diocesan mission that began on Friday.
While preaching at the closing mission on March 30, Dr. Edison Matsiko from Kyatoko C.O.U Parish in Eastern Division, Rukungiri Municipality, warned the youth about the dangers of AIDS, which is spreading rapidly, especially among those aged 14 to 26. He noted that many people no longer fear AIDS and reminded them of its dangers. Dr. Matsiko urged young people to abstain from promiscuity and prioritize their relationship with God to secure their futures.
The Education Coordinator for North Kigezi Diocese, Rev. Munturive Nshabaruhanga, emphasized the importance of living an authentic Christian life. He urged believers not to hide behind their faith while engaging in evil acts, such as consulting witch doctors.
Rev Nshabaruhanga encouraged Christians to remain faithful and trustworthy, loving God above all else, as He brings peace and joy.

The Missioner for North Kigezi Diocese, Rev. Julius Niwagaba commonly known as Tengyeta, commended the large turnout of approximately 7,000 people and reported that many were healed during the conference.
Niwagaba expressed gratitude to God for saving numerous people and pledged to continue spreading the gospel, emphasizing God’s supremacy. He also thanked the Bishop of North Kigezi Diocese, Rt. Rev. Onesmus Asiimwe, for his support in spreading the word of God both within and outside the diocese.
